In 2008 and 2009 respectively, TSMC s F14P3 Fab building in Tainan and F12P4 Fab building in Hsinchu obtained U.S. LEED® Gold Level and Taiwan s EEWH Diamond Level certification. It is the first semiconductor foundry located outside U.S. being LEED® certified and it is Taiwan s first semiconductor foundry obtained both LEED® and EEWH certifications. TSMC has owered the total annual operation cost by NT$26 million.
